Jeanne Matthews, Ph.D., RN, has a longtime career in the public health field. She is the interim chair and an assistant professor in the Department of Nursing at Georgetown University School of Nursing & Health Studies. She is also past chair of the American Public Health Association’s Public Health Nursing Section.

University, School of Nursing and Health Studies. She is a CNS in Pediatric Nursing with over 22 years of clinical experience. She teaches in the undergraduate and graduate nursing program. Sarah is affiliated with the Georgetown-Howard University- Clinical and Translational Sciences Award as a Research Participant Advocate. She is involved in human protection, protocol safety and research ethics in her position there. Sarah is an ethics consultant for the Georgetown University Medical Center as an associate with Georgetown Center for Clinical Bioethics, where she also does clinical ethics rounds and staff training. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI), the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities (ASBH) and Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research (PRIM&R). She received her BSN (88), MSN (89) and MA (94) at the University of Virginia. Her areas of interest include life span development, surrogacy and ethical decision making. Sarah is the Vice President (2011-2013) for Tau Chapter and through her recent global interaction in health care ethics is inspired to support the vision of STTI through Tau chapter by supporting our community engagement locally and globally
through service and learning.

Lauren Wood is the secretary of the Tau Chapter. Lauren graduated with a BSN in Nursing from Georgetown in 2008 and graduated from The George Washington University with an MSN in Nursing Leadership and Management in 2011. She works in the Emergency Department at Georgetown University Hospital, and she also works as a Clinical Instructor at Georgetown University.

Susan Coleman is a clinical faculty member at Georgetown University School of Nursing and Health Studies. Her specialty areas are Public Health Nursing and Vulnerable Populations. She received her BSN from the University of Michigan and MPH from The Johns Hopkins University. In addition to clinical teaching, Susan maintains an independent consulting practice. She is Chair-Elect of the Public Health Nursing Section of the American Public Health Association (APHA) in addition to Chair-Elect of the Quad Council of Public Health Nursing Organizations.

Margaret Granitto, MSN, RN
Margaret Harvey Granitto is an Instructor in the Department of Nursing at Georgetown
University. She is a Certified Nurse Practitioner-Adult with over 25 years of experience
in clinical practice. Clinical areas of interest include medical cardiology and gerontology.
Ms. Granitto is the current Leadership Succession Chair of the Tau Chapter. She
received her BSN from the Georgetown University, her Masters in Nursing from The
Catholic University of America, her Post Masters NP Certificate from The Johns
Hopkins University, and is currently a candidate for a PhD in Nursing from The Catholic
University of America. She has published in The Advanced Emergency Nursing Journal
and Nurse Practitioner.

Dr. Yearwood is an Associate Professor in the Department of Nursing at Georgetown University. She is a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Nursing with over 25 years of experience in clinical practice and nursing education. She is a member of the International Society of Psychiatric Nurses (ISPN), the American Nurses Association (ANA), the Eastern Nursing Research Society (ENRS) and Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI). She is the current Vice President of the Tau Chapter. She received her BSN from the University of Connecticut, her MA in Nursing from New York University and her PhD in Nursing from Adelphi University. Her research interests include qualitative methodology, mental health of minority and immigrant children and adolescents, mood disorders, culture and youth empowerment. She serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Nursing and is a manuscript reviewer for four other journals. She has published in Archives of Psychiatric Nursing, Journal of Family Nursing, Journal of Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Nursing, Journal of Pediatric Health Care and the Journal of Transcultural Nursing. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and is on the Fulbright Senior Specialist roster till 2012.
