Charles Hall has served on the Georgetown Tau Chapter’s board in various positions for the
last four years. He is a twelve year naval officer veteran of the United States Navy. Here he
served as a Navy Nurse specializing in cardiac and peri-anesthesia nursing. Lieutenant
Hall was also deployed on the USNS Comfort within the Casualty Receiving Unit as their
Training Officer during the disaster relief for Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Recently he was
the featured Alumni in the Washington State University’s Focus on Nursing. Charles is near
completion of both his Masters in Nursing as well as his Masters in Business
Administration.

Marianne is a member of the Operations Team at the Georgetown University School of
Nursing & Health Studies. She oversees the Admissions and Outreach Team supporting
the undergraduate and graduate growth. Marianne directs the educational partnerships with
outside agencies including scholarship opportunities for graduate students. Marianne
received a Staff Excellence Award at the School of Nursing & Health Studies in 2006. She
has a broad professional practice background which includes clinical and managerial
positions primarily in critical care and off-shift supervising. She currently serves as
Treasurer.

Deidre is a graduate of Georgetown University College of Arts and Sciences and
Georgetown University School of Nursing and Health Sciences. She served as a staff nurse
in the neonatal intensive care unit at Georgetown University Hospital while completing a
Family Nurse Practitioner program at Georgetown University. After graduating from the FNP
program, Deidre was a coordinator in the High Risk Infant Clinic and a research coordinator
for clinical trials at Georgetown University. She currently is and Family Nurse Practitioner in a
private pediatric practice in Washington, DC. She is an active member of the Nurse
Practitioner Association of the District of Columbia and currently serves as recording
secretary for the Tau Chapter.

Aubrey Hall, RN, BSN
Aubrey is a graduate of North Park University School of Nursing in Chicago, Illinois. After
graduating, Aubrey spent four years as a Naval Officer stationed at the National Naval
Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. She spent her time at the Naval Hospital caring for
our nation's wounded heroes as well as our nation's leaders. While at NNMC, Aubrey served
as the Department Training Officer of the PACU, responsible for the staff's education and
training. Recently separated from the Navy, Aubrey now serves as a staff nurse in the PACU
at the National Institute Of Health. In 2005, Aubrey spearheaded the creation of a chapter
website for GU Sigma chapter and looks forward to increasing its visibility and improving the
site.

Kimberly Groner RN, MSN, CANP, CCRC,
Kim received an MSN from Georgetown University School of Nursing and a post-Masters
certificate in the Adult Nurse Practitioner program at The George Washington University. In
over 20 years of experience at Georgetown University Hospital , she held positions as a staff
nurse in medicine and the medical ICU, assistant head nurse in the ICU, clinical nursing
educator and a part-time faculty member at Georgetown University School of Nursing. She
has co-authored abstracts, articles and book chapters. In 1996, she began a new role of
clinical researcher and clinician caring for patients with Chronic Multi-symptom illnesses.
Kim recently returned to Georgetown University after working at the University of Michigan in
Ann Arbor , MI conducting clinical research and overseeing the clinical enterprise of the
Chronic Pain and Fatigue Research Center . She currently provides education for the staff of
two cardiac telemetry/vascular and thoracic surgery units at Georgetown .

Dr. Norton, assistant professor in the School of Nursing and Health Studies, is currently the
Undergraduate Counselor for the Tau Chapter. She chairs the Council on Curriculum and
Instruction, Professional Nursing (GUNHS) and the Clinical Practice Committee of
Georgetown University Medical Center. She is a member of various professional
organizations including the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. She is a certified
critical care nurse. Dr. Norton has numerous publications in professional journals including
articles slated for publication this year in the Journal of Professional Nursing and AJN.
